Linwood Fielder Sr.
, 78, Lower Paxton Twp., entered eternal life April 6, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Suella Fielder.
Mr. Fielder graduated from Steelton High School, Class of 1955, attended Colorado A&M University and served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. As a member of New Hope Living Baptist Church, he served as a Trustee and Usher. His career path included Police Officer, City of Harrisburg, and retirement in 2001 as District Director, Commonwealth of PA, Board of Probation and Parole. He served as member and Past Master, Paxton Lodge #16
, Nimrod Consistory #9 F&AM, Tipstaff Dauphin County Court, Board Member of Gaudenzia Inc., loved golfing and spending time with his family.
He leaves to celebrate his life his devoted wife of 60 years, Audrey Ann Frye Fielder; children, Mark Reed (Diane), Osha Lynette Smith (Bill), Linwood "Butch" Fielder Jr., Riccardo Johnston (Gail) and Stephanie Latimore (Martin); 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Marsha Wright; brother, Howard Murray (Lisa); other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 12th, with Masonic Service commencing at 7 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Directors. Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, April 13th, at Life Center Ministries International, 411 S. 40th Street, Harrisburg, with viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon. Interment will be at William Howard Day Cemetery.
