Over the years, many of the brothers have asked for a listing or information concerning what Jurisdictions we have 'Recognized'.  I'm pleased to report that at the 190th Grand Lodge Session Dr. Vernon D. Dobbs, PMWGM and Chairman of the Recognition Committee compiled the following report:

For the purpose of our Brothers who travel internationally and would like to visit a foreign Lodge during their stay, the following Foreign Grand Jurisdictions are recognized/approved by this Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania:

Grand Lodge of Peru

Grand Lodge of Tasmania

Grand Lodge of Brazil

Grand Lodge of the Philippines

Grand Lodge of Italy

National Grand Lodge of France (GLNF)

Please note that it is extremely important that a Prince Hall Brother ascertain that his visit is to a Subordinate Lodge of the National Grand Lodge of France (GNLF).  There are several Grand Lodges in France and some, (The Grand Lodge of France (GLF) for instance) accepts and initiates women into the order.

For Domestic travelers, visitation and fraternal relations are welcome in the following Jurisdictions:

Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania

Grand Lodge of Washington

Grand Lodge of District of Columbia

Grand Lodge of New Jersey

Grand Lodge of Maine

Grand Lodge of California

Grand Lodge of Delaware

Many thanks go out to PMWGM Dobbs and his committee for doing an outstanding job.  We will post this information on our website www.princehall-pa.org and update it accordingly.  While on the subject of Recognition, my brothers please keep in mind the fact that our Recognition process/agreement only entails ‘inter-visitation’ and ‘fraternal relations’.   ‘Dual membership’ and other policies of the ‘Recognized’ Jurisdictions is sovereign unto its own and do not apply to the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania and it members.
