Area of Focus #1 Membership

Since the time of then Most Worshipful Grand Master Robert Newman Davis administration (1983-1985) our Blue House Masons have decreased significantly. There are many reasons why this is so and we will address several of these reasons here today by presenting an approach on increasing our membership through an Enhanced Admissions Process and an Enhanced Investigation Process.

*As of Today, Tuesday, October 12, 2010 every eligible Master Mason is hereby authorized by the power invested in me as Most Worshipful Grand Master of all Prince Hall Masons in and for the jurisdiction of Pennsylvania to discreetly approach men of good character (you knowing him to be such) and invite him to be a part of our ancient and honorable order.

* You may discuss with him what we as Prince Hall Masons do in and for the community both as individuals and as a lodge.· You may discuss the history of Prince Hall Masons here in Pennsylvania (read the history book, $10.00).· You may discuss with him the qualifications one must possess to be eligible to be a candidate.· If you find that he will be amenable to our rules and regulations you may offer him an application to be filled out and returned to you within seven days or less.· Inform him that he will be subjected to an Enhanced Investigation Process which consists of the following:

1. FBI background check

      2. Pennsylvania State Police Background check

3. Child abuse background check

· When being voted on for admission to be a candidate it should take 3 or more black balls to reject a candidate. No longer should 1 black ball be able to reject a candidate.· In order for a Master Mason to be eligible to recommend a candidate for admission, he himself must be a Master Mason in good standing for the past two or more years.

· If you sponsor a candidate, you must stay with that candidate through all of his degree work and for at least one full year after the candidate has been raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason for the purpose of guidance and support.

· An eligible Master Mason can only sponsor or recommend one candidate per year.

· It is my intention as Grand Master of Prince Hall Masons in this jurisdiction with the help and assistance of the Brothers in the Craft to preside over an on-site Mass Initiation, Passing and Raising. With your help we anticipate hundreds of men of good character coming into the fold. After all you and I know that there are only two kinds of men of good character

1.) Prince Hall Mason.

2.) One who is yet to be a Prince Hall Mason.

This mass initiation will take place only after the candidates have passed the Enhanced Investigation Process and have paid the appropriate fees.

                                                      More Details to Come!
