It was a cold crisp day on November 14,1971 when over seventy
Loyal Ladies attended an occasional Assembly Of The Order Of The
Golden Circle, which was convened at the Holiday Inn Town, Harrisburg,
Pa. For the purpose of establishing a state Grand Assembly by
the instruction from the Sovereign Grand Commander Leland D.French,33°,of
the United Supreme Council, A.A.S.R. of Freemasonry Prince Hall
Affiliation, Northern ,Jurisdiction, U.S.A. Inc.
1971 - 1973
On November 19,1972 the State Grand Assembly
met at the Holiday Inn, King Of Prussia, PA. L. L. Priestess,
Jeffrey B. Swiggett chaired the First Ways And Means Committee
Project, A BABY CONTEST. Hazel L. Datcher made our first contribution
to the UNITED NEGRO COLLEGE FUND. THE GRAND ASSEMBLY held it's
first SEMINAR in Pittsburgh, PA.
1974 - 1976
The first HISTORY of the PENNSYLVANIA STATE GRAND ASSEMBLY
and the Subordinate Assemblies was formulated with L. L. Ruler
MARY B. WATFORD as Chairman. The first PROTOCOL was written with
L. L. Jessica Gould as Chairman. S.G.L.L. Ruler, NAOMI N. HUGHES
had the first WORK SHOP. L.L. JESSICA GOULD was appointed as the
first STATE GRAND LOYAL LADY ASSISTANT SECRETARY, L. L. JUDITH
A. HENRY OF Philadelphia was crowned queen for the STATE GRAND
ASSEMBLY
1977 - 1978
For the first time in the History of the State Grand Assembly,
the election was held by the Sovereign Grand Commander ILL. Frank
N. Summers, 33° 1979 - 1980
The first Public Relations Brunch was held. The first edition
of our Newsletter (Circle Echoes). The formulation of the Loretta
Lawrence Nurses Unit. New credential and return forms were instituted.
1986 - 1987
The first Breakfast event was started.
