193rd Annual Session October 13 -14, 2008

Beginning October 13th, 2008 M.W.P.H.G.L. Masons will converge on Valley Forge, Pennsylvania for the 193rd Annual Session of the M.W.P.H.G.L. of PA. The session will take place at the Radisson Valley Forge Hotel, Valley Forge, PA. and will conclude on October 14, 2008.

The One Hundred and Ninety Third Annual Session of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, will convene at 8:00 A.M. on Monday, October 13, 2008 and on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the -

for the purpose of reviewing the state of the craft, transacting all business that may constitutionally and legally confront us in this session.  An Occasional Lodge will be opened by Letort Star Lodge No.18.

PRE-REGISTRATION

The fee for Pre-Registration will be Eighty-Five ($85.00) dollars. This fee covers admission to all events, i.e., Saturday Night’s entertainment and Monday Night’s Banquet. Brothers of the Craft will Pre-Register through their respective lodges on the Form No. 2. This form and the apropos check or money order must be forwarded to the Grand Secretary to be received on or before October 1, 2008. ALL FEES MUST BE PAID BY CHECK OR MONEY ORDER.

NOTE: All Grand Lodge officers, both Elected and Appointed, and Committee Members MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE, with the proper fee on Form No. 3, both of which will be forwarded to the Grand Secretary at 4301 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140 on or before October 1, 2008.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION

The fee for On-Site Registration will be Ninety-Five ($95.00) dollars through Monday and Sixty (60.00) dollars on Tuesday. The Committee will be located in the Radisson Hotel.

Saturday, October 11, 2008 - 9:30 A.M. to 4:00PM.

Sunday, October 12, 2008 - 9:30 A.M. to 4:00PM.

Monday, October 13, 2008 - 8:30 A.M. to 4:00PM.

Tuesday, October 14, 2008 - 8:30 A.M. to Noon

All Grand Lodge Officers must be properly dressed (tails) for this session. Masonic Dress will be required for ALL BROTHERS attending any session of this communication.

NOTE: Worshipful Masters and Wardens of all Constituent Lodges will be permitted to wear their Collars.

Church service will be held on Sunday Morning, October 12, 2008 at 8:00 A.M. in the Main Ballroom. The public is invited.

A Lodge of Sorrow will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2008, Radisson Valley Forge Hotel.  Assembly time 6:30 p.m. Service at 7:00 p.m.  The public is invited. Lodges should notify and invite family members of Brothers who expired during the past year.  

BANQUET

A banquet will be held on Monday Evening, October 13, 2008 at the Radisson Valley Forge Hotel honoring Most Worshipful Grand Master Samuel King. One ticket is included in the registration fee. Additional tickets may be purchased at a cost of $45.00 per ticket. The dress will be Tuxedos. For additional tickets please call Brother Francis S. Comer, Sr. at (215) 329-3703.

HOTEL RESERVATION

Room Reservation Forms were sent to each Lodge and are self explanatory. Strict compliance with the instructions as printed on the Reservation Form is necessary. Please get your reservations in as soon as possible so that you may be assured a room.

The Radisson Valley Forge Hotel will ensure accurate reservations if your request is received by 9/5/2008.  Request received after this date will be accepted based on room and rate availability.  Reservation requests must be accompanied by a deposit equal to one night's room rate.  $93.00 plus tax.  This deposit will be applied to the last night of the reservation. All regular and stated meetings of all Houses of the Masonic Family that are scheduled for October 10, 2008 thru October 14, 2008 are hereby canceled and direction for said Constituent and/or Subordinate Body to secure the proper "Dispensation" from the required source to reschedule said meeting is herewith given. The building administration will be given proper written notice of same before September 10, 2008, of the official rescheduling.

HIGHLIGHTS

The Prince Hall Grand Lodge Temple Association Annual Meeting shall be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. All Master Masons are expected to attend.
